New driver here...

Post by Jim »

First day posting...

I hope that I am able to carry one decent conversations with everyone and actually ADD value to said conversations. I am a sci-fi fan but I do not have any other friends that are. Because of that I do not get to talk about it much, nor to I bother researching and delving deeper into sci-fi universes much. Finding this forum might change that for me though. I have already learned to use the term "Xenomorph" for the Alien aliens.

Anyway, I hope everyone can give me a little time to get up to speed and I hope to be around for a long time.

Welcome to DITl. :)

As you can guess by my postcount, you'll probably see me around here a lot. Just never get into a debate with me, they have a tendancy to spiral into ten page long debates about something completely different from the original topic. :P

I have never done a RPG either... I am a supre-nubie. I actually "tried" to join a Klingon ship ... 8 years or so ago, but got lost so fast... If it were a Federation ship they would have red-shirted me and sent me on an away mission. As it is I simply vanished from the ship.

Don't worry. I've never been in one myself before the one here. It's quite simple, more like writing a story than a game.
Take a look at the USS Daystrom thread, and think about it.

But to join you have to denounce any other God and accept me as your own person Lord and saviour.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I thought the original reference was something like "dark master..."
