The thing I absolutely love about that episode is the way Sisko outthinks Eddington to beat him. And it's not some twee super-complex series of events that would probably go wrong in reality. Sisko jumps into his psyche, tears it apart, realises what will work, and just goes ahead and does it.

If this were a Voyager episode, Janeway would have won because Eddington's ship had a multi-phase isolation chamber in the warp drive system that she disabled with a resonance pulse from her main deflector dish. Or some damn thing.

As a general point, I agree that it's a much more satisfying solution to have Sisko (or Kirk, Picard, etc for that matter) out-think the bad guy than out-technobabble them.

In this particular case, however, I think I've made my opinion of copying this guy quite clear, several times.
