Well, what are some of Sisko's best decisions?

The decision to pull out of Deep Space 9 at the start of the Dominion War and strike at a crucial production target.

His push to retake DS9 and recognition that the wormhole was the crucial piece in the war, not Earth.


Both of these, along with the decision to go to Cardassia and not look back at the end of the war, represent probably the only instances of true strategic thinking that has occured in the Federation that we know of.
