Star Trek Series Design Project #1: Timeframe

First off we have to decide what time-frame we want to do.

We can go during the same time as Enterprise, sometime between the Foundation of the Federation and the original voyages, during the same time as Kirk, between the original voyages and the next gen, the same time as the next gen, or some time after.

Poll will end in two weeks.

I voted for "a few decades after TNG". I like the option for change but I want to keep it some what close to the canon.

I'd say it's safe to say where this poll is going

It sure looks that way. I guess we'd better start thinking about what things have changed and what have stayed the same. Obvious big question is, what has everyone (the major powers) been up to and how do they stand.

I'd also be curious to explore how the Doctor and potentually sapant holos like him have been doing, socially speaking.

A century after TNG. I like the TOS-TNG jump of around a century, I'd like to see the same.

Voted for a couple decades after TNG. Enough time to go through a major TOS to TNG style shift but still close enough that things will be recognizable.

Man, this vote is more one sided then a German Invasion of France!

Don't exaggerate Deep - more than a third of the vote is going to options other than "decades". You must have a very high opinion of the French army.

I voted for a century. I agree with GK and Seafort's reasoning on this one.

Yes, I said I agree with Seafort.
