I take it you're aiming at #2, Mikey?

Yeah, based on Tyyr/Mithras' suggestion. As I have Silent Move, I was going to loop through the woods to come up behind #1 from the south, while SG takes his headshot at #2.Tyyr wrote:I think he's going for #1.
Not really sure.
So, I'm going to use Swift Attack (per the errata) for two attacks with the right hand, one with the left.
Right hand: BS 59, -10 (Two-weapon Wielder)... rolls of 39, 81 = one hit
damage = 1d10+5, Pen 3; rolls of 7, 3 (tearing quality)... I'll take the 7 for a total of 12 +12 SB - 4 TB = 20. -5 wounds to the left leg = 5 levels of fatigue (unconscious!) and half movement for 3 hrs.
Left hand: BS 59, -20 (TWW, off hand)... roll of 04.
damage = natural 10 = 15 +12 SB - 4 TB = 23
re-roll for Righteous Fury: 57 = miss. -28 wounds, I'm gonna reverse the damage roll (Sure Strike) to make it a headshot. Agility test roll = 17.

Har har.
Aiming at #2
BS: 50+20(aim)+10(sight)+10(deadeye shot)+10(accurate)
Roll: 11
Damage: 19 - 4 = 15
Are we just going 'till they have no wounds left, or factoring in critical damage? I can't remember.

Crit damage.
And if you take an aimed shot at his head (-20) and make it you get double damage.

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
Very cool. Mind if I go back and edit that in? I'd still have made the roll anyway.

No, go for it. That's the only reason to use the sniper rifle really.

Popping heads is quite fun.
So the damage done is actually 30. Yeah, he's down for good.

Awareness test of 27 = success. Anything else to worry about in the immediate vicinity?

Nothing in the immediate vicinity. Everyone can hear, smell, and see the activity down in the fortress. Orks busy carousing which is equal parts kegger and brawl.

So where are we in relation to the entry point which SG and I are supposed to choke?

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
Is the cliff to the south-west climable? If so, me and Mike could loop around the fortress to reach our target point. That would help us avoid being spotted, though it would take a bit longer.

Re: Adeptus Astartes RP comments.
For a space marine, probably. It'd be a challenging climb test with a failed roll equaling a fall.
If you want to hurry it'd be a climb test at -10, average pace would be a regular test, take your time +10 or more depending on how slow you go. Just be aware that while you're doing it orks can see in the dark pretty well and might spot you.
