Pretty cool. But damn ugly.
Does that mean the French win the battle on car pollution?

Can't be - the French don't win battles.

Oh that reminds me, most of the Italian Wars the French didn't lose to the Italians they lost to Germans. Shows that even when they go to war with Itally they still lose to Germany.

Jeez, that car in the OP is damn ugly.
Still, nice to see the technology.

Well I decided to necrobump this old thread because the best MPG car has been built to date.

7,000 mpg!!

Why the hell aren't some automakers realizing that the money they'd earn off these super green designs would far outweigh the loss of profit the oil companies must be giving them.

With the limited insight I can provide as someone who as worked for GM franchises for 9 years, let me say this: the problem is not completely in unwillingness to develop such a vehicle. Part of the problem is in the costs associated with the development of a commercially-viable version, and in making such a version that will both realize a small profit AND be financially feasible for the consumer. If people were willing to pay $75,000 regularly for such a vehicle, it wouldn't be a problem.
