Given the degree of corruption it was notorious for in its last years, I'd be astonished if it didn't.

Because they had them and they threw everything on hand at the Seperatists? Really, how much sense would it have made to left them in the hanger if you had them at the time?

Aye, it was probably a case of them just throwing everything they had at the Seperatists.

Pure desperation does some crazy things. After all, no-one would have imagined that the CIS would be even remotely capable of attacking Coruscant, yet they did. The republic forces would have been at best caught of guard, at worse utterly unprepared. I personally would have thrown everything I possibly could if it gave me even the most remote chance to succeed,

The B-Wing should never have been classified as a "fighter". It's too slow and its weapons placement are a liability when fighting other fighters. It proved to be a pain for me in the X Wing game.

I loved it. Tough as hell with a very nice payload. The only fighter that was heavier was the TIE-Defender. The weapons placement wasn't that great but you get used to it.

It's a fighter in the same way the Mossie was a fighter - very fast, and probably effective against larger air (or space) craft, but better suited as a light bomber.

I agree with that analogy. Either that or the P38.

I never thought of the B-wing as fast. Just faster then the Y-Wing. She was perfect for taking out Imperial Torpedo Boats, landing craft, supply ships, small transports and TIE Bombers.

And ISDs, once their shields had been disabled.

True enough. Nothing says "love love" like a dozen fighters with as many warheads hitting your reactor.
