Star Wars: The Clone Wars discussion
The animated series and the CGI series. What are your thoughts on both? Especially after the CGI finished Season 1 and we got some pretty decent Fleet Battles.

Didn't see it myself. Head it was alright, though.

The CGI series wasn't bad, some episodes were better then others but it did have some very good ones in there. I did love the anitmated series though - the last episode of series 2, which led straight onto Episode 3, was fantastic.

THe only bad or mediocre episodes were the start, and the Jar Jar episodes.

I heard there was a gay Hutt in one. I just don't have the willpower to risk sacrificing more of my childhood.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Ziro was thankfully only in the 'movie' and the last episode.Monroe wrote:I heard there was a gay Hutt in one. I just don't have the willpower to risk sacrificing more of my childhood.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars discussion
Oh the whole I like it a lot. Yes its a bit more kid oriented but so were the last three movies.
The big problem with it is simple, it makes no sense as part of the Ep II -> CW -> Ep III progression. Anakin is far more mature than in II or III, its more like if he didn't go sith in Ep III and had a couple years to grow up. The douche from II is not the same guy in CW who then regresses into a douche for III. Then there's Ashoka, who's total lack of even a mention in Ep III makes no sense. Still, if you can ignore those problems I honestly like it better than either Ep I or II and the talking parts of III.

One thing I wish we had were larger battles, both on the land and in Space.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars discussion
It's obvious why they couldn't. It's a weekly CGI series. They can't afford the time it would take to render a truly HUGE battle.
