I don't see a heck of a lot of difference. Even without an official NAP, I could easily see the Romulans waiting in the wings to see exactly with whom to throw in their lot.
Umm... you missed the statement. What if "the RSE joined with the UFP and KE when the DW started". Thats day one, right after the battle for DS9.

It would certainly make gaining ground a lot more difficult and costly for the Dominion. Hell, the Breen may even be disuaded from joining the Dominion in such a scenario.

With the RSE supporting the Allies. The Dominion (even with the Breen) was slowly but surely losing the war. It may even have been a crushing defeat for the Dominion. IMO of course.

I guess a better question, now that I've had time to think about it, is... What would have it been like after the war? How would you see relations between the Allies.

Senator Cretak would have remained in place. A strong supporter of the Alliance. Martok would have remained as the Klingons Supreme Commander and Chancellor Gowron's right hand man. This also would have ended the war before Gowron went crazy.

What would happen if the Romulans discovered that Sisko falsified the evidence that bought them into the war?

Is this part too the question I put up or something else?

A - If its part of what I put up.
Nothing as that wouldn't have had the time to happen. The RSE started off wanting to side with the UFP/KE alliance. However when the UFP and KE split company the RSE signed the NAP. If the RSE would have stayed in the picture the KE wouldn't have risked war with all three of its major borders (ie the CU, RSE and UFP). The KE would have been forced to back off of the UFP and the Allies would have been a lot stronger going into the conflict.

B - If you mean just on its own in the Prime Timeline.
Thats very iffy... On the one hand the RSE could switch sides and join up with the Dominion. They wouldn't like the fact that they've been tricked into a costly war. Switching sides would mean a Dominion victory and maybe better end war treats for the RSE.
However... on the other the RSE could just sweep it under the rug. They may not want to admit that they got tricked by something much like their efforts they've used against others. The government would have to show weakness to its people. On top of that the RSE was taking its stand against the Dominion to begin with. Seeing a little holo-vid was more likely just the excuse they needed as they may have signed the NAP just to buy time to build up their forces.

That's what I was thinking. The Romulans aren't exactly known for being forthcoming and transparent, even among themselves; and if someone important supported the entry to the war, evidence that runs counter to his position could easily be "disappeared."

Agreed, I thought that was the more likely of the two. However since I can't say that either was certain I put both up.

Have we done Vulcans vs Romulans (ENT era)? I've been catching the odd season 4 epp here and there, and was thinking that THESE were the reald powers (along with the Klingons) of the era.

If we use ENT, the Vulcans are a sure win. We need something were there is a choice and room for things to change.

You'd think so? Even with the Romulan "shouldn't have" tech?

Yeah, but they had only one of those ships which went up in flames. The Vulcans had dozens of their "super ships" that they shouldn't have had.

Two actually, but both died so it wouldn't matter (at least I think it was two... now I'm starting to have doubts of my memory).
