Personally, I'd rather not be mentally comparing items to preconceptions while watching.

Hey they're doing better than last time - I had read the script of Nemesis before I saw it on opening day.

I did that with Generations........not the final scripts but a later draft. They edited out a bit to much, and Kirk was too uber to simply get shot in the back with a disrupter.
