Spoilers? Where's the fun in that???

Post by LaughingCheese »

I don't get why some are so eager to know the plot before it comes out.

Where's the fun in taking it apart before it even comes out?! :?

You're choice of course, but I've had my fill of 'spoilers' (I've seen some tidbits here and there, and what I've gathered from the trailers, and that feels like enough to put the plot together, at least partially, like I did in my thread).

Would someone kindly enlighten me?

And DO NOT post any spoilers here, we have a thread for that already!!! :D

I just know they aren't going to be giving away any really important details. I normally hate spoilers myself, but in the case of this film, I really needed to know that they have a good story. In my opinion, from what I've heard, they do.

I see; so its not quite the kind of spoilers I'm thinking of?

They aren't spilling ALL the beans?

They, so far, have only given an outline of the story; exactly what I was looking for. :)

I think the story sounds promising. :)

Cool. 8)

Either way, I think it will be at least Nemesis quality, probably better, and I really liked Nemesis (aside from a few things).

Didn't like Nemesis?

Anyway, I forgot to mention that I also think it really says something that they're comparing it to Wrath of Khan! I mean WOW!

I'm getting that it'll be a bit better than Nemesis. I mean, if you're going to do action, why not go nuts with it? Especially with a $150 million budget to work with.

Nemesis was also compared to TWOK and IIRC it did the worst of all the Trek films.

Given the generaly opinion of NEM around here, I'd sure hope not.

Nice to see that not just the Trek fans hated it.

I don't think spoilers ruin the fun.

If anything it lets me appreciate the movie more since I knwo whats coming and what to look forward to.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
