ST:XI Merchandise/Books

Post by LaughingCheese »

What kind of merchandise do you think we can expect from ST:XI?

Aside from toys and perhaps a video game of some sort.

I'm thinking books like another technical manual and how about a blue print book of the new Entereprise?

One can only hope.

We'll get as much crap as they can possibly squeeze out of it.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

"Spaceballs: the flamethrower. The kids love this one."

Count on a TM or cutaway book, a catalog of jewelry/unis/accessories, etc.

Damn, Mikey got to the Spaceballs reference before me.

I want a cutaway book.

And jewelry? :?

I don't know of any Star Trek jewelry books.

Except that the Trek XI phasers don't look like remotes.

Nor do I; but the DVD of Dark Knight, for example, comes with a little catalog of jewelry for sale; and of course, they could always sell insignia pins, etc. I see Paramount taking the "new direction" and planned mainstream appeal of this and riding it long and hard.

Yeah, I said it, Mark and Tsu.

I hope to see a return to the heyday of Trek merchandising with random tech books, miniature star ships and various plastic models, all based on whatever fever dream the publisher/author/designer came up with. That was one of my favorite things about pre-TNG Trek, the sheer randomness of the stuff they put out.

miniature star ships and various plastic models
Absolutly. If that happened, my wallet would empty faster... if I had any money.
