yes but the point I was making was that shatner was just a face to the charecter of James T. Kirk, the figure was more iconic than the actor and so it is easier to recast, to make a new face for the charecter with-out destroying the figure.

Stewart is Picard, there is no seperating the two, it's going to be neigh on impossable to recast Picard and not ruin the charecter. IMO
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I see.

My thoughts exactly, and even the others to some extent.

I just can't see anyone else playing Riker or Data or Geordi.

I feel much the same way about the original cast. So all I can do is just wait and see.

the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

Ahhhhh!!!!!

STOP POSTING THESE

MUST.............RESIST..............

But seriously, do I want to see anymore?!

I mean, I think we've pretty much been able to put together the major plot points for Star Trek.

And now I'm desperately trying to forget everything I've read and seen.

Well, I'm not ready to accept the trailers at face value just quite yet. But, for as long as I've waited for this damned movie.........it seriously needs to rock.

I've set up a dedicated Spoiler Thread for that sort of thing. With luck, that'll prevent anyone from accidently stumbling across news that Spock dies, or whatever.

As such, I'm requesting that everyone refrain from posting spoilers (either rumoured or confirmed) anywhere other than the Spoiler Thread. I'm sure plenty of people would be pissed off if they accidently read spoilers for it, so let's try and keep such instances to a minimum.
