Favorite Ship Design (All sci-fi included)

Post by Bryan Moore »

Mine has to be the Executor and Constitution Refit. I do appreciate the quirky little design of Serenity, as well.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

Ditto for the Connie refit and Executor. The old Galactica was a good solid-looking ship. The Andromeda Ascendant is another good one, despite being rather fragile-looking.

The Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer. Shame not more were built :(

And Descent Freespace's Shivan ships. They just look so alien and so cool. I used to make them out of legos.

My top 5 starships.

#5) The TARDIS. Come on, who wouldn't want one of theese? :)

#4) The Prometheus (from Stargate). Looks great. Pity it got blown up. :(

#3) BattleStar Galactica. I like the looks of it and it seems a good design.

#2) The Constitution class. Not a great design, but I still love it for being the reason I got interested in sci-fi.

#1) The Imperial Star Destroyer. Nice eficient design, excelent weapons coverage and you just know that if you provoke it you're in for a lot of pain.

Moya from FarScape. I fell in love with that ship the first moment I saw her.

The White Stars from Babylon 5. I don't care what JMS says, I think those ships are beautiful. The Minbari Cruisers are, too.

The Excelsior, Ambassador, Constitution II, Miranda, Akira, and the Sovereign from Star Trek.

The TARDIS, the Consitution refit, the Millennium Falcon, the Odyssey from 2001. Oh, and yeah, the White Stars.

Varthikes, JMS really said the White Stars were ugly???

His exact words were that he did not like the design because they looked to him liked "plucked chickens".

Didn't... one of those crew members from a fifth season episode say that? One of the maintenance workers?

That's right. Undoubtedly JMS transmitting his opinion into the show.

Yeah the Soverign is just pretty.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Thanks for reminding me...

I love the Asgard motherships in SG1, too. Especially the O'Neill-class.
