Coolest episode name?
I was thinking last night whilst watching the DS9 episode "If Wishes Were Horses", what a cool name that was for an episode. Then I got around to thinking that there are many episodes in all the series of Trek that too had cool names.
My question is, what is your favourite Trek episode name? Maybe the favourite one out of the whole lot or your favourite one(s) out of TOS/TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT?
Now I'm not talking about the title of your favourite episode. It doesn't even have to be a 'good' episode (though I'm sure that'll help your choice) just the title has to sound cool/clever to you.
For me, it's 'Time's Arrow'. I don't really know why, just sounds very profound

"In the pale moonlight" is very poetic, as is "Sacrific of Angels"
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Either "Let that be your last battlefield" or "By Inferno's Light".

I think DS9 is going to run away with this one personally!

The Tholian Web was always a cool name to me.

Okay, maybe not. "In Purgatory's Shadow" is great, as was "The Best of Both Worlds"

It doesn't hurt that it's in Latin; that lends an air of distinction to it.Mikey wrote:Probably. I like "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges" myself.
Hows about "It's Only a Paper Moon?"

I always loved the simplicity of "The Search" and "The Chase"

TNG often went for simplicity in episode titles. "The Defector," "The Wounded," etcBryan Moore wrote:I always loved the simplicity of "The Search" and "The Chase"

I had to look that one up!Mikey wrote:Probably. I like "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges" myself.
"In times of war, the law falls silent."
Very clever, especially for this specific episode!

Re: Coolest episode name?
I like What You Leave Behind---seems an excellent title for the last episode of a show where the characterization (charicterisation?) was most of the plot and for an ending where at least half the cast is moving on.
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."
