I'd seriously love to know what that guy was smoking.

Dark Frontier was one of those, run at the cube then run away moments. Fed ships have been shown to be able to take severla hits from the Borg and if memory serves Voyager didnt take more than a half dozen at most.

Guys, to those who know these things...

As this thread is about the Borg, I thought it as good a thread as any to ask the question. What where those pointless little ships (presumably) the Fed sent after the invading Borg cube in BoBW as it approached Sector 001? They were two of them, they were almost like little fighter planes and the cube swatted them out of the way like flies. Always thought how pointless that was....

The "Mars Defence Perimetre" - they were (according to behind the scenes info, IIRC) unmanned drones used as missiles, effectively a smaller, shorter ranged equivalent of the Cardassians' "Dreadnaught" Voyager encountered, intended as as a last line of defence.

I'd have expected more then 3 though, of course there may have been more off screen.

Those may have just been the last three; the others could've been destroyed off screen. I'd expect a "defense perimeter" to consist of a lot more than three drones.

You know, Cap's post got me to thinking. I wonder how the Dreadnought would have got on, up against the Borg? I mean the exact one from Voyager that Miss Turtle Head programmed to be so clever and adaptable. If it's target was programmed in as a Borg Cube, wound up and let go, I wonder if it would have had the desired effect and blown the cube to the big Unimatrix in the sky? :)
