Riker doing his job in Measure of a Man when he was selected as the advocate for Maddox. He damn neared convinced me Data could be broken down and studied and copied even at the cost of his life. Even though he will kill his friend by doing this, Riker does it anyway because he is in a lose-lose situation. Any hint of playing along, Data is broken down. Riker wins, Data is broken down.

I'd say kidnapping Locutus was typically unorthodox :) Maybe we should just nominate that whole episode, he does do rather well as Captain.

For dramatic effect, I'd got for Future Riker decloaking and performing the Sisko Maneuverer on that Klingon Voodieh in All Good Things.

The film was a steaming pile, but that line was brilliant.

On my own, I liked Riker. He was loyal, thoughtful and not a puss!

Riker's performance in BoBW is what came to mind first, but these other moments are truly excellent as well. Riker actually had quite a few good moments for a character who I've seem jokingly referred to as an officer whose role is merely to repeat the Capitan's orders (at least I've heard reference made to "Riker moments," in which he just has to recite a mechanistic line with little impact on the story)!

How about Riker in ENT: TATV? Anyone? No? :)

I think BoBW is the clear winner here. God, I should become a bookmaker or something :)

Just for the sake of variety, I'm going to suggest getting clean and dirty in the tub with Troi in INS.
