I've always wondered were those little "defense" ships small fighters, or unmanned probes????

I think they were unmanned.

As to the lone Galor question: Breen frigates had the energy dampener, but didn't seem to be uber-armored or shielded; yet they were able to get to Earth and attack while the UFP was on a war footing.

As I recall Rick Sternback said they were unmanned drones. I think of them as small, short range versions of the Cardassian Dreadnought design.

Incidentally they were made from the hull of a Typhoon class submarine model. The same thing was used for the soliton wave rider, where we get a really good look at it...

Never noticed that before. At least they dressed it up a little more than the Mausers from SW.

Well, at least the Captain of Siskos ship didn't bother to drop the non-combatants off. Must have been a quite self-confident guy! :?

Never realised that thing was a Typhoon.

True enough. Perhaps there was no time to drop the non-coms off?

If your going into a fight where you are pretty sure there will be heavy casualities like that one they should of just shoved them into life pods and launched them.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Good Lord, speaking of bothering: Is there nobody here feeling responsible for keeping the discussions on-topic?
