I would choose the USS Enterprise D and serve as a teacher - we have seen teachers in uniform, haven't we, so I suppose it would be possible. If not, a post as "ship historian" would also be interesting. Or Counsellor. Anyway, my uniform would be blue and in life threatening situations I would be left behind on the saucer section.
