I'd like to see an honest go at a SW/ST crossover done. It would never happen, but something where it's not some stupid vs.

It's never going to happen. And really, it's probably for the best that those two universes never get merged in an official way.

Yeah, you're right. Fanwanking would get out of control. And seems lately, at least in regards to SW, the fanfic writers do it better than the pros.
Still... a man can dream of Han sitting down at poker night, or Threepio suing the Solo/Skywalkers and asking for asylum in the Federation...

Do you laugh with me, at me or some random thing you see in RL? Answer me, or else I'll put you in the comfy chair!Mikey wrote:

Sounds like something Sergio Aragones or Mad Magazine would do.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Yeah, you're right. Fanwanking would get out of control. And seems lately, at least in regards to SW, the fanfic writers do it better than the pros.

I just got a mental image of C-3PO sitting in front of Picard, saying, "Please, sir... they said very hurtful things..."RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Do you laugh with me, at me or some random thing you see in RL? Answer me, or else I'll put you in the comfy chair!Mikey wrote:

I've always had a 'Measure of a Man' style proceeding. Picard learns Threepio's sentient, but gets no pay, no time off, is shut down randomly for no 'good' reason...Mikey wrote:I just got a mental image of C-3PO sitting in front of Picard, saying, "Please, sir... they said very hurtful things..."RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:Do you laugh with me, at me or some random thing you see in RL? ST/SW are so different though in the way their set up no collision could do well (except for portal, which we need more of!)
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

There are plenty of great crossovers. "Starcrossed", the Unity saga, and "Conquest" all spring to mind.
Only two things are infinite - the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe: Albert Einstein.

I guess ignorance isn't bliss, i didn't know of anything like that other than portal (which we still need more of...hint, hint)

I wonder. Could a lightsaber deflect a phaser blast?
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

Only thing I'll say on this, so as not to turn it into a vs. thread or to even threaten that...Mark wrote:I wonder. Could a lightsaber deflect a phaser blast?
I would say wide-beam, no. It'd just wash over the lightsaber and hit the Jedi, IMHO. *Clams up now*

Answer: no. They are in two different universes. Oh look, some rule about no "vs." threads...
