If I had to split them down by category I'd say

Comedy: Life of Brian
Sci-Fi: Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
Crime: The Italian Job
Historical: Conspiracy
War film: Zulu
Spy film: License to Kill
Action/Adventure: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

My list:

Comedy: Monty Phython and the Holy Grail
Sci-Fi: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Crime: The Usual Suspects
Supernatural: The Crow
War film: Where Eagles Dare
Spy film: Goldfinger

If I had to then pick one of these, I'd go with The Crow

Goodfellas

Beneath that, but not far behind are Godfather, Godfather II, Gladiator, Gangs of New York, Gettysburg, The Great Escape, and Pulp Fiction (yeah, weird, 7 out of my 8 favorite movies start with G)

The new one. Don't think I've seen the '86 release.

It's a cartoon. Optimus Prime dies, I believe.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Heres a few.

Comedy: Life of Brian.
Sci-Fi: a tie between Wrath of Khan and Star Wars.
Historical: Schindlers List.

All other categories are too clutered up to pick just a few.

Comedy : Airplane. The sheer number of jokes means you lagh every few minutes. And decades later I am STILL finding new ones.

Sci-Fi : Aliens. Simply the best sci-fi action movie ever made.

Action : Die Hard.

Inspirational : The Shawshank Redemption.

Horror : An American Werewolf in London.
