What anime series do you watch?

Post by Blackstar the Chakat »

Just wondering who likes what. Me, I own Outlaw Star, Angel Links, Escaflowne, the first two disks of Robotech the Macross Saga, and two DragonBall Z movies. I also watch Naruto, Zoids, and One Piece. Also a fan of Trigun, Full Metal Alchemist, and Ghost in the Shell. I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

So what are you guys into?

Most of the TV series bore a/o annoy me. Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are exceptions, but I can't say that I'm a big fan of either. Certain films, however, are another story: Akira, Wicked City, Vampire Hunter D, (the original one) Fist of the North Star, and Jin-Roh come to mind right off the bat.

Never had much time for series, myself. I've watched some of them when they came out, and I found them bland, repetetive and annoying.
Ghost in the Shell was the only one I can say I liked at all.

Eh, I dont really watch all that much Anime. I mean, i watch Studio Gibli stuff, and Howl's Moving Castle was awsome.. but, heh, i get the feeling that thats.. well, Pseudo-Anime. Hehe.

My dad really likes it though, he's kinda using Anime (as well as building kickass multimedia/gaming rigs) as his midlife crisis. Which means that we've got loads of Anime DVD's lying around. I keep meaning to watch Ghost In The Shell, but i never have time. Hrmm.

By the way, the Hellboy cartoons dont count as Anime, do they?

Simply answered. None. I saw Akira maybe 12, 15 years ago. I've seen some of the Studio Gibli films, but I don't know if they count.

Magical girl fan, myself. Sailor Moon's my favorite series of all time. Cardcaptor Sakura, Fancy Lala, Princess Tutu and Vampire Princess Miyu. VPM is just... whoa.

Dragonball Z, too. And Naruto and a bunch of other. Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Noir, Madlax...

Naver watched any. The closest I've ever come is spotting some while channel-hopping.

Does anyone else ever accidentally read that abbreviation as "BDZ"?

I just have to ask. Are you a female? Alternatively do you have a thing for jailbait (like much of Japan does)?

Me I've enjoyed Ghost in the Shell(first movie and stand alone complex, haven't seen the new one), Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion. Plus a lot more actually with varying degrees of enjoyment. I can not stand DBZ.

And I've been to busy for a while now to watch anything new.

Oh and everybody should watch "Grave of the Fireflies" at least once.

Oh, and my bros and I used to watch Robot Carnival after getting dunk/high, turning the sound down, and putting The Orb on the stereo. :D
