That's nothing. Read up on something called "fast leg theory" and you'll realise that, while not a contact sport, cricket can be pretty bruising.

Per the OP, it's about time one of those jokers got flattened - they may get a few jeers, but they hold up play.

No, really! This guy was a rugby man, and when a streaker came on the field, the cricketer flattened him with a shoulder check! If we can see that sort of thing in cricket consistently, we could sell it here!
