Star Trek Universe Announces Slate Of Renewals, Premiere Dates

First, Star Trek: Discovery will be warping its way to a 10-episode fifth season, with Season 4 returning with new episodes beginning Thursday, Feb. 10. The fourth season will conclude on Mar. 17.

Then, Star Trek: Picard's second season will debut on Thursday, Mar. 3. Following the premiere, new episodes of the 10-episode-long second season will drop weekly on Thursdays. Plus, Star Trek: Picard is currently in production for its third season.

Later this year, Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Number One (Rebecca Romijn), and Science Officer Spock (Ethan Peck) will be returning to the Enterprise with the debut of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on Thursday, May 5. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has also been renewed for a second season.

Star Trek: Lower Decks' third season debuting in Summer 2022. Star Trek: Lower Decks' renewal for a 10-episode fourth season.

In addition, the first half of Star Trek: Prodigy's first season will wrap up with Episode 10 on Thursday, Feb. 3, with the remaining Season 1 episodes to debut in Summer 2022.

I hate how in the streaming age most seasons are so short at around 10-12 episodes.

Ironically, we have this much new Star Trek because of the Streaming Age. CEO's went psycho after Netflix's success, decided they want their own Streaming platforms, invested heavily into their own streams with original programming, and here we are today. Are you excited for the upcoming Lord of The Rings Amazon TV show?
