B.) You don't send someone into combat with a single mag.
Your right. Ogryns get a second mag along with everyone else. I'll amend the OP to reflect that.
C.) Why can't I trade out? If I can't use something, why not use its value?
Your an Ogryn attached to a Penal Legion that gets paid in loot. So no starting cash, no trading anything in. That's the whole point of this campaign, if you make it off world then you can pawn what you looted.

Are we going to get those before or after the game starts?

Yeah, thanks I think...... You might as well have put us in WW2 rabbits. :poke:
I still think Giant Green Lion would have been cool, every time I attacked somebody my catch phrase would have been, " I have the power! "

K, made my rough rider character up, working on the guardsman.

There shouldn't be any more changes to kit from here on before things start, unless I forgot something (like the second Ogryn mag).

Dude, there's a list of kit for the Ogryn. Yeah there isn't much but the Ripper doubles as a semi auto shotgun and a Great Weapon.

 That pick is just a reference, eh. Seriously though, military bikes aren't all that powerful or awesome and we aren't Astartes.

So what's the limits on crimes for penal legions? Is there a cut off where if you've done something awful enough you don't get the option you just rot in jail?

I don't think there are hard and fast limits on this in the Imperium. The Last Chancers had folks in it that according to the Primer should have been executed, and from what I can find on Savlar, it's legions aren't that typical. People join them as a chance to get out of prison rather then rotting.

So I say go nuts on your crimes.

Gotcha. Yeah, I want someone who deserved to be in jail. Not someone wrongly accused or punished overly harshly for their crime. Jastilus deserved to be in jail, really he deserves to be shot and he's unrepentant about it.

Those ripper shells are likely big enough to be ones.

Put up the backgrounds of the Commissar and Mr. Unpleasant.

Double bonus. A characteristic score of 42 would give you a bonus of 8.
