AHA!
Thanks again to Graham's extensive database, I've found that Vulcans do indeed eat shellfish at least. There's an entry on Vulcan Mollusks, an apparent delicacy. Now, I wonder if they'd eat other forms of shellfish...

Oddly enough, out of the hundreds of food entries on DITL, there are only three Vulcan foods (and a number of drinks), so I don't really have to strain my brain to come up with stuff.
I've got a number of things already planned; I intend to observe the characters to figure out what they'd likely enjoy the most.

Also, Vulcans are said not to drink alcoholAlthough it has not always been so, most Vulcans are vegetarians. They also do not touch food with their hands (ENT: "Broken Bow"), unless wearing special gloves. (ENT: "Home")

No wonder Spock was an outcast, what with eating veggies with his fingers in the Big E's mess hall. He's also had booze on occasion.ChakatBlackstar wrote:Also, Vulcans are said not to drink alcoholAlthough it has not always been so, most Vulcans are vegetarians. Yes but he obviously embraced his Vulcan heritage. He may as wll have been a full Vulcan, in fact he was so much so that the writers had to find excuses to bring out his human side.ChakatBlackstar wrote:

So on a desert world the animal at the top of the food chain eats vegetables and sea creatures. Brilliant!Tsukiyumi wrote:AHA!

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Didn't ENT make a big deal about how they didn't eat other animals? In fact, I remember T'Pol getting quite pissy in Broken Bow and calling us savages for doing so. And yet they eat shellfish for desert.
Hypocrites.
Hypocrites.

No prob - they like shellfish, but live in a desert, so they can't have them.

I don't know; the entry is there, along with an alcoholic beverage called Vulcan Port...

Just because their planet is the point of origin for something doesn't mean they have to eat it.Tsukiyumi wrote:I don't know; the entry is there, along with an alcoholic beverage called Vulcan Port...
