The very last shot of DS9, that huge pull back. Has me in tears every single time.
And The Visitor. That whole episode is perfection.

I wouldn't say it's the greatest moment in Trek, or even DS9, but it's certainly a fittng final scene for the series.Tiberius wrote:The very last shot of DS9, that huge pull back. Has me in tears every single time.
Not as good as "Trials and Tribble-ations", but it's certainly among the best. And The Visitor. That whole episode is perfection.
Congratulations on the promotion.

Cheers. I don't know what I did to earn it, but I hate the responsibility! I want my carefree days as an ensign back! :p

One thing throughout all the series...
An underlying sense of hope, that we're gonna make it, that humanity will learn and evolve. It's so rare.
Dystopian futures are a dime a dozen. For every Star Trek, there's Terminator, Blade Runner, Solyent Green, Matrix... off the top of my head. I need something to look forward to, to help bolster my dreams.

Pretty much all of the above. Thanks for doing the hard work for me, boys

Just saw this again this morning, and I forgot how much I appreciated it. The end of TOS: "Requiem for Methuselah," when McCoy gives Spock the speech about never feeling the highs or lows of love, and then Spock walks over to the sleeping Kirk and melds with him to help him forget...
Very touching show of friendship, and a moment of Spock overcoming his Vulcan discipline in order to help a friend.

Actually, I hadn't either. It was on TV this morning, and I remembered it being a decent ep, so I watched it over breakfast. Then at the end, I thought, "That bit has to gon the 'favorite moments' thread.

I always saw that as not Spock making Kirk forget about that woman, but about making him forget the pain.Mikey wrote:Just saw this again this morning, and I forgot how much I appreciated it. Although it does contrast with the "I need my pain" in ST5
