Captain Seafort wrote: They knew for a fact that the attack on the Kelvin was a break. The issue for us is that the pre-attack Kelvin clearly wasn't part of the Geneverse, introducing a further point or points of divergence.
Divergence in the divergence of divergence.

I would say the destruction of Romulus must have happened in all universes or most of them. If caused by a natural phenomenon there are no reason for it not to happend in every universe except those universes where Spock or somebody else has avoided it.

About the 3 (at least) separete timelines i have to agree.

I personally believe there is no divergence between ENT 22nd century and TOS 23rd century and beyond. Yes, ENT presents contradictions from the earlier Trek shows on a few points for example the Klingons. But the series was never intended to be a new Trek universe. I think it's a just a popular fan theory to explain the differences between ENT and other series.

I mean really, somehow the ENT timeline is more advanced than originally because of Cochrane saw the shape of E-E?

That's true none of this is in any way in agreement with canon, but I like to believe it anyway since it makes a whole hell of a lot more sense.

I can solve this problem. ST XI never happened.

Another possibility is that when The Sisko met Kirk in Trials and Tribble-ations, The Sisko challenged Kirk to a fight. It happened off screen because the sheer awesomeness couldn't be contained by mere cameras. The fight caused a ripple through space-time thus creating ENT, specifically when Kirk judo chop was blocked by a back handed pimp slap from The Sisko.

Could you imagine if they both connected with a two-handed hammer punch of awesomeness at the same time? Such an occurrence is probably the source of creation for new universes.

If that is what kills me, I'll be ready to go.

Kirk and Sisko fighting... pretty sure even the Borg would haul ass out of the galaxy to avoid the backlash.

It could be a split off the mirror universe, where they got the Vulcan technology but eventually formed the federation and became a more advanced version of the one we know and love. That avoids more splits while provides another explanation.

Avoids? Assuming the involvement of the MU opens a whole new unsupported can of worms.
