For comedy, he can have a toy laser in his holster.
I have a couple ideas of what he may do. Won't decide on them for sure for a little while.

The toy sidearm thing is something I experienced in real life. Some of you know I used to be an armed security officer at a Las Vegas casino. Well, since we were armed, we'd have random weapons inspections. We had one guy who worked there with a gambling problem. I just finished my inspection when he came in, my boss told him to pass over his weapon. They guy made a face, drew his sidearm, and passed it over.

It was a very realistic looking water pistol.

He'd pawned his real gun for money to bet on the football game.

Yeah, and there are still people who think that gambling isn't an addiction like drugs or alcohol.

Anyway... are we doing intro posts - what we've been doing on Earth, etc. - or jumping right into shipboard/underway action?

I think we're gonna start with the launch (momentous occasion and all. Only Earths 2nd/3rd starship capable of doing it ---- and we are the crew that made a lot of it possible :D), so intro away!

Does anyone have a problem with Nelson having won the CMH for conspicious gallantry in capturing the ship?

Woo-hoo, mister tough-guy.

JK. ;) However, is there still a Congress to award a Congressional Medal of Honor?

"Commonwealth" maybe? We could just invent the "United Earth Commonwealth"?

In any event, I don't mind. In fact, I'm thinking of granting some sort of honor to Harvey as well - an honor which will, of course, promptly be stripped from him.

I'm not sure what it would be called. It can't the Federation Council Medal of Honor, since there's no Federation. I can't even use the Starfleet Medal of Honor, because as a MACO...he's not Starfleet. Does anyone remember what the Earth government was during Enterprise?

I don't think it's ever specified. I think it's just United Earth. I'd say go with commonwealth -- sounds official. Anyway perhaps just a "Distinguished Service Cross"?

Marvelous. Now you've set the bar too high! By the way, I could see the Daedalus maybe having at least 2 platoons -- make it more worth a Captain's time.
Also:

Thought we were on the Aegis :poke:

Post number one is up. Two will be up tomorrow (introducing my new character... yay...).

And Mikey, let me know if you want Darwin to meet Harvey or the other way around. Basically who's on the ship first.
