I wrote a crossover between Sailor Moon and Star Wars. :D Won an award, too on tf.net.

Seafort - you aren't too far off, either: there aren't many twenty-somethings who like The Beatles as much as you do, or even know who Gerry and the Pacemakers or the Dave Clark Five were.

And, if we're including anime we enjoyed as kids... Space Battleship Yamato FTW!
I know who both those bands are and yes, that one was great too. :D

There'd better be plenty who know who they are, especially if said twentysomethings are in the Kop.
Okay, now you've once again lapsed into a language with which I'm unfamiliar.

IDK the actual chart performances, but their hottest two singles were probably "Glad All Over" and "Bits and Pieces." Their song "I Like It Like That" was made more famous by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. Dave Clark is actually exhibited (but not an inductee, IIRC) in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his groundbreaking methods and inventions in music production.

Not so much enough to remove eyes, but we've argued to the point of brawling a couple of times. I've learned hes like a dwarf: short and tough. he's learned I'm a hell of a lot stronger than my dainty 119ibs. would suggest.

Lessons learned, however.

Okay, I found out what "the Kop" refers to. How does being a fan of Liverpool FC require one to be familiar with the secondary bands of the British Invasion? I mean, how familiar with a 45-year-old band could you expect a 21-year-old to be, even if he is from the same town as the band?

BTW - only the Brits could get away with nicknaming a section of the stands at an arena after a battlefield.

That's about it. I've noticed that, especially in the more northern counties, people relate to just about anything that relates to their home town.

I too know who Gerry and the Pacemakers are, don't know any songs by name, but I've heard the name tossed around a few times. As well as that I know a good deal of stuff from the 70s, 80s and early 90s
As well as the Beatles, who I love as a band.

If you never know any others, know this one:

You'll Never Walk Alone

It may be a cover, but it's their version that made it Liverpool's song. 8)

Hmm. Interesting. The first song I think of when I hear the name "Gerry and the Pacemakers" is "Ferry Cross the Mersey." One would think that it would make a pretty good local theme, too.

One of the prettiest songs to come out of the British Invasion, IMHO.

"Ferry..." or "...Storm"?
