Hmm, never played WH, but have done lots of D&D. How hard of a conversion would this likely be?

Never played D&D but it seems simple enough, uses either one or two ten sided dice to decide things.

Not very. Most success rolls are percentage rolls rather than d20; other characteristics are used as a straight modifier (to damage, etc.) as is armor. Experience is used to add skills and increase characteristics.

XP is gained via time played and can be randomly awarded for completing certain tasks or "good" roleplaying.
