@Kendall:
Where is that tank pic you posted earlier from? Is it an original creation, or is it an actual proposed design?

Hmm. I think I originally saw it on a Russian site posted as a possible future tank, except I can never remember the guys name. Vas Fontav or something like that. It is quite similar to another pic I saw on his site of an actual future proposal. Again I couldn't find his site so I just googled T-95 images.

Yep, that was for you little brother. I think a tank-like vehicle would be helpful for the troops on Valkyrie.

I shall see what i can do, i'll use pulse fire phaser cannons as it's easier to draw.

Check with Monroe - he might have some of his ground attack vehicles left over from the Beta mission; pus we have the wheeled scout vehicles Thorin spec'd.

Here we go, I have budgeted for a single pulse fire phaser turret, i suppose it could be a two, or a double; as well as a strip phaser array along each side. The top bit on the turret could be a micro-photon launcher i guess.

Not bad. How high is that thing?

Probably not that high, i had tried to make is a compact as possible. Ther would be just enough room for 2-3 crewmen to fit into the main body, the turret is controlled from within.

I like it. Spec it out, and you could post that in Applied Treknology.

As to your Ariel Universe tank, does that tank launch projectiles, or blasts of energy? If the first aplies, you could consider putting in a hinge at the very base of the barrel, perhaps even behind the loader device to give it a bit more variation in distances it can shoot.
If there's room, put a railgun or coil gun in the barrel, you'dno longer need the exploding part of the projectile at the back, just the projectile itself, and you couild increase the amount of projectiles in the tank.

Heat from the coil/rail guns could be used to power the tank via a redundant system.

Correct me if I am suffering from Janeway syndrome.

it fires energy bolts, not projectiles. Older tanks use mass driver guns, but not the more modern (ariel standard) ones.
