The Superferry is designed to transport people and their vehicles between islands. Right now, it only goes between Oahu and Maui, and Kauai protested (hundreds of yahoos on surfboards out in the water saying the Ferry might hit a whale

One of these days I should give it a try. Hell, I've lived out here 9 years, and been to the beach maybe a dozen times.

I grew up on the beach, and in the surf, so I have an affinity for the ocean. I dislike living this far from the coast, even if it did spare me more damage from the hurricane.
