Re: Abandon ship!....err, planet.
OK, so Humanity's fucked. Maybe something will change in hundreds/thousands/millions of years but in the now, there's no chance save for an unseen benevolent alien race with sophisticated technology.
How do we go about preserving the memories of Planet Earth and it's history then? Would/should we bother?

Thank You. I'm Sure That by the 29th century they would be able to sort out all this end of the world stuff
Re: Abandon ship!....err, planet.
Personally, I think that if we were to be defiantly be destroyed in such a time frame, that we should produce some sort of “The Inner Light” style probe (though perhaps without the mind control or whatever happened to Picard ), and I believe there would be a lot of people who would agree with me. However problems would most likely arise from the fact that anybody capable of sending such thing into space would likely be involved in the futile effort to save us all.thelordharry wrote:

In light of the joke which preceded this comment, I fail to see the distinction.Condan1993 wrote:'m sorry, being a chemist comes first, Nerd second!

Well, obviously, since there is no element with the symbol T, I naturally presumed he (I'm assuming he, is that correct?) had made a mistake in capitalisation, which is apparently a common enough mistake that my class was warned about it before the chemistry AS-level exam. 8)alexmann wrote:

Im not sure if I follow. If this is a bad continuation of you Titanium Carbide joke and saying that that is what i meant then that is the worst joke I have every heard.
