I got to level 9 then biffed it. I had the urge to choose a radically different location to the question. You know, like a Canada question and then choose the Maldives, just to see what the reaction would be.

The ones that perpetually got me were the odd Scandinavian-sounding ones north of Russia and east of Finland.

I said east of Finland. I know the odd Scandinavian-sounding ones that are part of Scandinavia.

Agreed. Even worse for me are the ones in the arctic circle which (apparently) are not part of Russia.

Huh? There's only one country east of Finland - Russia. If you're talking about the Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia), they're a) south of Finland and b) a very long way south of the Arctic circle.

Yes, but that's not nearly what we're talking about. The game points out cities and (supposedly) nations north of Russia and east of Finland. That's what I meant when I said "north of Russia and east of Finland."
