Nope, it IS THAT EXTREME, which is why we're so happy about it.stitch626 wrote:Very different. this is like saying "You never existed." Ok, maybe not that extreme.

It is that extreme. Everything she's written just got declared non-canon, which in regards to the Star Wars universe is the same as declaring it never existed.
Re: Lastest Travissty cancelled
Cool, I got it right.
In a way this is a relief. THe changes nicely would explain why, in the KOTOR time, they were a warrior race with a code of honor (like Klingons...), but by movie era, they were rarely heard from, and the ones that were known were mercs for hire.

I always assumed they got curbstomped and the survivors scattered.

It sounds like that's exactly what happened, going by Traviss' description. Not only were they scattered, they became a group of pacifists as well. If there's a way to more emphatically sweep aside Traviss' beloved Mand'oa culture, I can't think of it.

This is absolutely WONDERFUL news. All of Traviss's works are non-canon.
Whose the worse writer: Stephanie Meyer or Karen Traviss?

KT. At least the other woman made up her own Universe to build on.

And SM didn't turn the former Jedi Scout into a Mando fan.

Scout Traviss sent her to Mandalore during Order 66 and... well, from what I understand, she joined up.stitch626 wrote:Huh?RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:And SM didn't turn the former Jedi Scout into a Mando fan.

Eh, from what I read, I don't see a problem with that.

The problem was that Scout was seen as the Light of the Jedi Order despite her low Force Sensitivity. Traviss wrote that she sucked and that all the Jedi hated her and that's why she became a Mandalorian.stitch626 wrote:Eh, from what I read, I don't see a problem with that.

That's why those writers should have had a conference beforehand, much like we do in Daystrom and Enterprise, so EVERYBODY is on the same friggin' page. Her books were kind of like Blackstar's posts.....they just arbitrarily change everything, with no thought given to the others using the universe.

They do - it didn't make a blind bit of difference in LoF, other than pissing off Denning so much that he biocided Mandalore.Mark wrote:That's why those writers should have had a conference beforehand, much like we do in Daystrom and Enterprise, so EVERYBODY is on the same friggin' page.

Ah, see that wasn't in the wiki, so I had no idea about that bit.SuperSaiyaMan12 wrote:The problem was that Scout was seen as the Light of the Jedi Order despite her low Force Sensitivity.
