Thats a good point.

It could also be cultural. They just like having a secure territory and are non expantionist.

What episode mentioned that the tholians aren't considered a threat?

No episode to my knowledge. its just we have never had any big problem with them. Just a bunch of small ones. They seem kind of aggressive so if they could fight us why wouldnt they unless they know they cant win.

well i think, its probably a cultural thing, they may be quite isolationist, or even be too tied up with the breen and other races

Very nice ship there, DarkOmen. :)

Also, its posible to be territorial, yet isolationist.

Love the ship, Omen, but making it fairly resistant to impacts when we're on a torpedo boat is dirty pool... JK - if it were to be easy, it wouldn't be fun. The only nit I have with it is that, like others here, I think it's a bit too fast.

Meh, I don't think the speed is bad. Considering we know nothing about them, there's no contradicting evidence.

Who cares if their ship is better off against a PT. We arn't using one launcher, we're using 15! 3 of which fire QTs.

Besides, we want a challenge, don't we? As the Chinese say, "May you live in interesting times." Although I believe they mean it as a curse...

Hmm, has anyone got any idea what sort of strength index this thing would have? It'd be useful for the Daystrom story.

Tough call, I think, because we don't have a weapon rating for isokinetic cannons, nor a defense rating for the unconventional armor; plus the web is hard to quantify.
