See what you wanna do is empty that thing. It's a little known fact that the fluid in the trans cooler is just to make the truck go faster (it is red after all), so if you drain it than you extend the life of the tranny by reducing the workload.Anyway, I used to sell trucks, so I know the size you're talking about. The trans cooler isn't really an issue itself, but I've known Dodge trucks (anecdotally, admittedly) to have some trans issues - so with the use you're putting it to, I just mentioned to be better safe than sorry. I don't mean to scare you, though - all the issues I've ever seen were in half-tons, not heavy-duty trucks.
