Just out of curiousity, wouldn't the friction of the tires have melted the ice and snow???

Do you have an idea how much ice and snow there might be in a Canadian blizzard?

In some areas, not even in the Arctic just above Maine within 4 hours you can have a snowdrift across a road so high and think it will stop a car going 20 km/hr... how do I know this... I've been there my friends, its not fun... The only way out is a farmer with a tractor...

Is this sort of thing more common in Canada? I just read about a guy in Alberta who was arrested when his drunk a** was found - still in his car - on the lawn of the police station. He then went on to thell the police that he wasn't merely drunk - he'd been taking drugs, too.

I'm particularly fond of the one where the guy was arrested for drunk driving while swerving all over the road on a riding lawn mower, several months ago.

A disabled engineer in Germany was recently cited for speeding in his electric wheelchair. He apparently was able to get it going up to 40mph.

My dad used to live in Canada. They got 12 ft of snow in one blizzard, without snowdrifts. I would show you the pics if I could find them. They're somewhere in the house.

I've been in Hotels where in a single night the snow is up to the roof (1 story in that part).
