Wouldn't the animated series be canon then, Lucas made them if I am not mistaken

Re: Size of Star Wars armies
Like I said, EVERYTHING is Canon, except the Infinities work, the movies being the highest since Lucas made them. The cartoons follow under the new T-Canon rank.USSEnterprise wrote:Wouldn't the animated series be canon then, Lucas made them if I am not mistaken

Lucas doesnt' control what's canon. It's Leland Chee, and according to the Canon tree, nearly everything is canon except for the Infinities and Gameplay of games.USSEnterprise wrote:Not wanting to get my head bit off...but has their been any statement by Lucas about whats canon or is it just speculation?

No, I know that they have different layers of canon. However having that many layers of "official" is just fucking retarded.SuperSaiyaMan12 wrote:This is your first time hearing about the Canon Tree Tyyr?Tyyr wrote:...that is just f***ing stupid.

Re: Size of Star Wars armies
Wrong again, Lucas has oversight control of canon. He set it up that nothing is allowed above his films. NOTHING IS EQUAL TO THE FILMS. Everything else falls under that to which he simply doesn't care.SuperSaiyaMan12 wrote:Lucas doesnt' control what's canon. Re: Size of Star Wars armies
Lucas hired Leeland Chee to do the Canon Tree, Deep. And if you notice, nothing is equal to the Films, but they are still canon, LOWER CANON.Deepcrush wrote:Wrong again, Lucas has oversight control of canon. They say that in the Army,

They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

So the boss of the person who he hired and you say he doesn't have control??? Think about that statement.
Lower canon...?And if you notice, nothing is equal to the Films, but they are still canon, LOWER CANON.

Yeah, like 50% official, sort of official, but not quite official enough.

Re: Size of Star Wars armies
Thats the way Canon works in Star Wars, I'm afraid, Mark.Mark wrote:The Cannon Tree...........good lord
Indeed. Its exactly that. Lucas doesn't want to go through the EU. He has hired Leland Chee to do so and create the Canon Tree, the tiers of canon. With the Movies being on top, and Infinities and Gameplay being on bottom, everything is canon, just the Movies being the highest.Deepcrush wrote:So the boss of the person who he hired and you say he doesn't have control??? That's been known for years, Deep.
