I could go for it - it would solve my issue with the engineering crew.Rochey wrote:Sorry for the double post, but I've just noticed we have a grand total of zero Lieutenant Commanders on board. What's up with that?

Might not be a bad idea. It'd be a bit odd to have two lieutenants with one supposedly of higher rank.

Remember this is a much smaller ship than almost any other one we've seen.
Its probably a god thing we have bugger all high ranking officers. If we need to latter we can just promote someone.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I don't think ENT had any Lieutenant Commanders. From Memory Alpha:Rochey wrote:Sorry for the double post, but I've just noticed we have a grand total of zero Lieutenant Commanders on board. What's up with that?
But Major is about equivilent to a Lt. CMD. in traditional ranking systemsBy the 22nd century, lieutenant commander had apparently become defunct and was not used in the Earth Starfleet

I was asking your opinion as you are essentially "The Decider" fo this thread. (You have no idea how sorry I feel for you because of that...I'm doing my best to try and help but...well you know how it is here ) It's up to you, if it's Russia I can change it to St.Petersburg Russia (or you can in the Official Canon Thread--or whatever its called)

We'll have the Russian Federation. But you can keep the Leningrad designation, saying that your family was very much Pro USSR.

Actually I'll go with St. Petersburg but keep the Soviet Tank Division reference because the family felt the military history of the USSR was more exciting/modern.Reliant121 wrote:We'll have the Russian Federation. Not at all. Excepting the MACO's, Starfleet (and Earth Starfleet) uses naval-type rank systems, in which "Major" doesn't appear at all.ChakatBlackstar wrote:But Major is about equivilent to a Lt. CMD. in traditional ranking systems
So, aside from Rochey, any other ideas of what to do with my chief engineer here?
