Are they ever going to have a nuclear war in this series of movies. It was always implied from the original that this was the downfall of mankind and the eventual rise of the Apes. These seem to have forgotten about that.

I never watched the previous movie series but from what I gathered how the apes got intelligent and the humans became secondary to them, probably not.IanKennedy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 11:27 am Are they ever going to have a nuclear war in this series of movies. I guess in the 2000's, we weren't as terrified of nuclear annihilation as we were of genetic manipulation.IanKennedy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 12, 2024 11:27 am Are they ever going to have a nuclear war in this series of movies. The original movie is well worth watching. The sequels less so. For 1968 it was amazing. The final scene is excellent, but even if you don't know what it was would be somewhat spoiled by knowing the modern movies.

I remember watching the original movies back in the 90's when they would do a marathon on holidays on the Science Fiction Channel. They did it with TOS too and Godzilla movies.IanKennedy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 4:27 pm The original movie is well worth watching. The sequels less so. For 1968 it was amazing.
