So I have been looking at the wikis that list Star Trek Tactical Assault and I am a little confused as to the dating of it.
Memory Alpha clearly stated that the Federation campaign began shortly after The Motion Picture, which is dated in the 2270s, however the inclusion of the USS Excelsior in the game clearly confirms Memory Beta's claim of it being set in 2284. Which of these is true?

It's an old PSP game (or PlayStation Portable) that was from back in the 2000s. I had one while I was in the Army. Look it up, it actually exists.

Was this a stripped down version of Starship Commander or Stargleet Academy?

I believe that it was which is ironic to say the least.

If it is then I played it for one time and never played it again. If I recall the controls were iffy too
