With tropical storm Fay bearing down hard with strong winds and pouring rain, it is nice to be inside with the knowledge that should (actually *when*) the power goes out, everything will continue running automatically via a generator (lesson learned after super storm Sandy).

In the darkest of night, out of the gloom will shine a bright light....from my doorway, with me in silhouette, like a bat signal...only better!!!

Met my first in person, person to actually believe in flat Earth.

Went as expected when talking to her.

I still haven’t and gave a hard tune thinking people really believe that, unless they are seriously unwell.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

How badly did you want to slap this person by the end?

I actually walked away from her when I realized she was out of her mind. She said something that in the 70's NASA admitted that we never went to space. That was when I realized she was a flat earther and it went downhill after that.

She was young too. Maybe mid to late 20's.

I honestly thought majority of what we see on the internet are people just faking it to mess with people.

No, for better or worse I haven't been swallowed by a black hole since whenever I last logged in. 'Tis been even longer since I facebooked (that's a word now, right?) and as many of you might also read there, my father became a victim of coronavirus this past April. R.I.P.

My Mom is having some surgery on Friday. It's to reattach her colon after it turns out she had a twisted colon back in March. All a part of her kidney transplant.

Her new kidney is working well and this surgery is one step for her to get home.

Which is a big big deal when in February there was a doubt that she would make it.
