Episode 5 of the docuseries deals with practical effects. Decisions on choosing non-cgi effects for certain things and how that influenced actors and directors. Best episode yet of the series (probably due to loads dedicated to baby yoda)!
"This is the Vulcan heart. This is the Vulcan soul. This is our way."
Episode 6 of the docuseries dealt with the processes of what was done prior to filming, to speed along production. From storyboarding, to pre-visualizations using techniques from Jungle Book and Lion King. A short episode but packed with really interesting images of how things went from a few bushes with the live actor, to the entire surrounding flora to match the scene.
"This is the Vulcan heart. This is the Vulcan soul. This is our way."
Episode 7: Sound... how a single composer used various methods to create thematic development of both characters and worlds. Then by bringing in a live orchestra, to transform these themes into cinematic sweeping perfection!
Made me want to watch the full series again...wow!
"This is the Vulcan heart. This is the Vulcan soul. This is our way."
The final episode(#8) of the docuseies focused on the various connections shown through the Mandalorian, to all sorts of Star Wars canon. Most of the ones discussed I was surprised that I had caught during the two times through the series. But some were really deep dives that were so interesting to learn more about.
I am really looking forward to season 2, whenever it shows up. Completely enjoyed season 1 and the docuseries as well!!!
