George announced via Twitter that he was chosen as the final torch bearer for the newly postponed Olympic games in Japan.
He featured a pic of the torch, along with some of his Trek do-dads.
Much excitement ensued, to only find out a day later, that it was a hoax of his own making.
I guess if it had be the real deal, that would have finally caused Shatner to pop a gasket, seeing George atop the tower, lighting the Olympic flame and being applauded by millions everywhere.

I saw his post on Twitter. Only now do I realize it was a hoax from reading this.
"No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand."

LOL, it's a good one.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

I saw it and he got me for about ten seconds when I realized it was April 1st.
Oddly it was the only April Fools joke I saw that day...

I saw a news article claiming that Audi, Merc and BMW where going to merge and only select models would remain in production. I didn't believe it and they did end the article by saying "Happy April fools day"
