Seth talking to the young Shatner. That would be so much concentrated cool it would surely create some kind of black hole of coolness.
Recreating the 1960's TOS with CGI and making it blend in with real actors would instantly win all of the SFX awards for that year or two.

Definitely would be awesome.

A high school production of "Alien The Play" was visited by a surprise guest...

Bruce Lee with Force powers would be an awesome fight to see.

The Mercator projection vs The true size of each country
Image

The Mercator projection turns the round earth into a flat surface as on on a paper map. Therefore, it shows the correct shapes of the continents and directions accurately but, does not show true distances or sizes of continents, especially near the north and south poles. The Mercator projection is used by sailors.

One of my face scenes from The West Wing was about that

I love the idea that you could just map everything the other way up. It took me a while after watching this to really grasp it. I was like "but north is at the top of the planet!" Except that, no, it isn't. Nothing in nature makes north the "top" of the world, it's just the top because we decided to think of it as the top. Absolutely no reason we couldn't call Antarctica the top of the world. Just think of all the upside-down jokes it would have spared the Australians!

I remember watching this when it originally aired. I was watching it with my parents and my brother. None of us thought about the map like that. We all grew up with the original map.

Then they flipped it and my Dad immediately recognized it as space has no up and down. He actually laughed about it.

Brand new perceptions.
