It's been a bit of time since I've visited that place. Like many science museums it's focused largely on raising interest among the young'uns though there still can be items of interest to young'uns who have all growed up already too.

Apparently there is (or was) a Mythbusters themed section too, as this was the location where the new hosts for the show were announced.

Wish I could take credit, but this (following hard on her status as an otaku) was an independent development on her part. :D

It was quite amusing to see bemused parents watching kids running amok amid all the science-y goodness for three floors, then the Trek exhibit (which is highly interactive) with all the bemused kids watching their wide-eyed and childlike parents running amok (myself included.)

And as always, I will be babbysitting Monster, AKA the cat who kills every living thing she sees shorter than 12 inches, and Poppy, AKA the daughter of Satan, sucker of souls, the beast of claws and hisses.
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Well, I'll be on vacation next week. Work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Then seven days off.

Excellent. Do you have anything planned?

I am on the 4th of 5 days off and then back to the grind.

Vegas and Grand Canyon where great. A little cold towards the end but only -2ºC (about 28ºF). Snow came in as we left and we skirted it on the way down to Nevada. But other than that it was great. Today is -14ºC (6.8ºF) up there but we're back in England where it's 3ºC (37ºF) but feels colder, because it's damp.
