Can it be long before the inevitable email complaint about the music? Come on somebody, it's a christmas tradition!

How can people have such objectively bad taste? I love the DITL Xmas deco.

How can anyone have a problem with Donald Duck. You elected him president after all.

Donald Duck would be a massive improvement over the monstrosity in the White House. Hell, at this point? All hail Queen Lizzie!

Just found out my Mom has fourth stage kidney failure and her kidneys are operating at 15% efficiency and could permanently fail at any moment. Waiting period is 8 to 9 years.

She did go up to me since I am the best match for her. My brother can't donate due to arsenic poisoning while he was in the Army and his first wife having Hep c.

At this point for me, fuck it. Let's get the tests done and see if we are a match. Then decide.

On a side note, I think I will make a topic about using death row inmates as organ donors. I mean the ones without a doubt. Those who absolutely are guilty.

If I didn’t have adrenal cortex problems, she could have one of mine. I’ve got two and I’m only using one.

So three or so months ago my mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. She was too weak and too far gone for chemo to make any serious difference, so it was a matter of making her remaining time as comfortable and happy as we could. It's been a rough old time for the Kennedy family, watching her bouncing up and down some before settling onto a rapid downward trajectory over the last couple of weeks.

This morning I heard somebody shouting her name in a dream, which woke me up at about 6:30am. I came downstairs to check on her, to find that she had lost her battle and left us in the night.

To whatever extent I might be said to be a good person who cares for others and wants to do well by those I know, and even those I don't, that is largely her influence. She was the most unassuming person you could meet - she couldn't do enough for others, couldn't give enough, couldn't care enough.

Goodbye mum. I miss you. :(

I’m afraid I have no helpful words, just that my thoughts are with you and Ian. So sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss. The quite and good always have an influence on the world larger than they know.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
