On Monday, Lindsay Lohan shared a collage on Instagram where she honors Brandon Lee — star of 1994's The Crow — and slams Leto, Heath Ledger, and Jack Nicholson — who have all portrayed The Joker — for stealing his look.
I cannot find this Instagram thing.
"a suicide squad movie is not helping the world but hurting people. Anger is not an answer for peace. #love #turnup #beherenow#lovenotwar"
If only she felt the same way about collagen lips, or cocaine.
"Bible, Wrath of Khan, what's the difference?"

I'd like to explain to her that both Lee's look from The Crow and the various looks for the Joker are based on the source material, which in both cases predates her... but explaining something to Lindsay Lohan is obviously a fool's errand. Also, how movies are just movies...

Besides the obvious comic angle, I'm pretty sure Nicholson went before Lee.
Though there probably is something to our modern idolizing of the bad guy not being such a good thing. Though I won't pass judgment on Suicide Squad as it seems it might be about actually having some good from those psychopaths.
Indeed, Nicholson played the Joker in 1989, Lee's The Crow came out in 1994.
As to Suicide Squad's "message," it is dissapointing to see Harley portrayed as "fun," sexual object - since the character was initially meant to be an object lesson in what is essentially a cartoonish version of Battered Woman Syndrome, and now here she is being objectified in the same way the character was supposed to be sarcastically combatting.

Suicide Squad: Lindsay Lohan isn't helping the World.
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wonderous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross... but it's not for the timid." Q, Q Who
